LoopedIn Councils (formerly Impact Apps) is a digital-first platform used by more than 50 local councils across Australia and New Zealand. Their core mission is to make waste and recycling services easier, more accessible, and more transparent for both council administrators and residents.

As they prepared to expand and scale, it became clear the existing brand and platform no longer fully reflected their growing capabilities or vision.

They approached NPCreative to lead a waste app rebrand, alongside a comprehensive redesign of their website, and communications to position them for the next wave of growth under the new name, LoopedIn Councils.

  • The previous brand identity had become fragmented and lacked consistency across digital, print, and app platforms.

  • The user experience and website copy didn’t fully align with the features and innovation the platform offered.

  • Stakeholders and users were confused about updates; some councils had outdated or hard-to-find resources.

  • The market was growing more competitive, so they needed a brand that would stand out and communicate trust, clarity, and innovation.

  • Councils/residents needed a smoother transition and clearer communications.

  • Conducted a rebrand for the waste app, with refreshed visual identity, updated logo, brand illustrations, and style guide to modernise look & feel.

  • Developed and implemented an SEO strategy to improve organic discoverability; keyword research, page structure, metadata, redirected old content appropriately.

  • Wrote new website copy & developed + built the updated website to reflect the new brand, ensuring usability and clarity.

  • Designed and launched social media, email marketing campaigns, and blog content aligned to the new positioning.

  • Formulated and executed a launch strategy & implementation plan to smoothly transition users from Impact Apps to the new LoopedIn identity – including a resident-transition campaign.

  • Delivered ongoing brand partnership to ensure the brand voice, design, and communications stayed consistent and evolved as needed.
